This requirement is a qualitative need but requires a creative solution so creativity is an important part of the solution.

"The whole idea is about having creative fun. When I created "Lucy the Catepillar" I was working with 3D printing. A lot of students have heard about this amazing new technology that lets you 3D print almost any kind of object. Even a Catepillar. I didn't have the money to buy the expensive 3D printer. So I looked into renting one. While searching for a service that would rent out the printer to other people and they had detailed instructions on how to use it, I came across a very simple service that would allow me to create a printing of a Catepillar for half the price of a 3D printer.

My goal was to create an affordable and powerful tool that allowed students and children who are often not so interested in science to make great science projects with their friends and family. With a very simple app and website anyone could be able to create their own Catepillar and 3D print it."

We need to ensure that ICT is not seen as a quick fix for things but rather the education of the future. That future will be smart and creative and technology will allow the environment and each child to flourish as the key ingredient.
